If you’re planning an elopement in Hawaii and already feel nervous about being in front of the camera, you’re not alone - and you’re exactly who I work with. Most of my couples describe themselves as awkward, camera-shy, or not interested in turning their wedding day into a production.
Your elopement isn’t meant to feel like a performance. It’s meant to feel like an adventure you’re sharing together - whether it’s just the two of you or with a few carefully chosen loved ones. A day spent exploring somewhere beautiful, breathing it in, and getting married in a way that actually feels true to you. You don’t need to know how to pose. You don’t need to be “on” all day.
My role is to guide you just enough to feel comfortable and confident, then give you the space to move, laugh, wander, and be yourselves. Your experience is the priority; the quiet moments, the in-between laughs, the ‘we’re really doing this’ feeling. The photos come from that, not the other way around.
I’m Brianna Wright (Bri to my friends), the photographer behind Luna Soul Photo Co., and I document intentional elopements and micro weddings in Hawaii for couples who want their experience to feel real, not performative.
Before photography became my full-time focus, I worked in education. Planning, communication, and helping people feel at ease were part of my everyday job. Those skills are now the foundation of how I approach elopement days: thoughtful guidance, clear timelines, and a calm presence matter just as much as knowing when to click the shutter.
I’ve photographed elopements, couples, and families across some of Hawaii’s most meaningful landscapes, helping camera-shy clients feel comfortable enough to forget they’re being photographed at all. Living on the Big Island means I understand the realities of eloping here - from permits and logistics to shifting weather and light - and can plan days that feel adventurous and effortless, not overproduced.
Most of my couples aren’t models (but damn do they feel like models when they see their photos!). They’re people who care deeply about their relationship and want to be present on their wedding day. I take that trust seriously and build every elopement experience around who my couples are.
Working with me feels less like hiring a vendor and more like having a calm, knowledgeable friend by your side - someone who knows Hawaii, knows how to plan an elopement day that flows, and knows how to help you feel comfortable without forcing anything.
From the moment you reach out, we shape your elopement around you. We’ll talk through your vision, what matters most, and any nerves you have. I’ll help with locations, timing, permits, and logistics, so you’re never left second-guessing your decisions.
On your elopement day, the focus stays on the experience. We explore, pause when it feels right, and let the day unfold naturally. I guide when needed and step back as often as I can, so you can stay present and enjoy the adventure. The photos come from what you’re actually doing together - not a rigid shot list or an overstuffed timeline.
